Local Photographer Enters the Elite
Joseph Giitter, M. Photog., CPP Earns Highest Membership Level from Professional Photographers of America
Omaha—Joseph Giitter of Bohemian Photoworks in the Millwork Commons District of Downtown Omaha has been named to receive an Elite membership from Professional Photographers of America (PPA). Giitter is one of few to earn the Elite membership—yet another milestone in his career behind the camera. Giitter recently moved to Omaha from the Washington DC area where he was a part time photographer and instructor at the Washington School of Photography.
“We are encouraging photographers to be more and grow sustainable businesses,” said Kristen Hartman, director of member value and experience for PPA. “Mr Giitter continues to raise the bar in our industry and has certainly earned his place among the elite.”
Giitter qualified for Elite membership through continued education, image competition and a continued quest for excellence.
Mr. Giitter, who is also a member of the Professional Photographers of Nebraska, said that the PPA organization helps photographers continuously strive to be better photographers and better business owners. "Today there are many people with a camera who call themselves photographers, but many of them don't understand lighting, posing, and other basic photography fundamentals. My company, Bohemian Photoworks, is all about creating quality portraits that stand apart from the crowd."
